In all of today's lights that use fluorescent light as a source the tubes themselves are usually statically encapsulated. Its shape is hardly used in a practical and flexible way.
We believe that the fluorescent tube is not used to its full potential enpecially in the domestic environment. With "split68" we change the perception and experience of fluorescent lighting. Its system structure encourages interaction with the light to modify it to suit changing situations and ones individual needs.
It allows to split up its static source, so that the light of different sections of the tube can be
directed individually."split68" consists of extruded modules of different length that are clipped onto an acrylic tube containing the fluorescent light source. The modules can be rotated individually around tube and the light emitted along the length of the light source is hereby split up into individual sections.
